Average number of deaths reported each day in Pakistan rises by more than 62 over the last 3 weeks, 50% of its previous peak
COVID-19 infections are increasing in Pakistan, with 4,900 new infections reported on average each day. That’s 84% of the peak — the highest daily average reported on June 17.
There have been highlight infections and 15,872 coronavirus-related deaths reported in the country since the pandemic began.
There are 5,217 new infections recorded on 15th April.
A huge lose of lives was about 118 deaths on 15th April.
Pakistan has administered at least 800,000 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs 2 doses, that’s enough to have vaccinated about 0.2% of the country’s population.
During the last week reported, Pakistan averaged about 26,471 doses administered each day. At that rate, it will take a further 1,637 days to administer enough doses for another 10% of the population.
